You have heard the saying, "lead, follow, or get out of the way." Life Coach Toledo Todd Smith blissfieldwe usually see each element of that statement as mutually exclusive, but I have been thinking about that a lot lately. In fact, it recently came up in a discussion with some of my mentors. I have a strong sense that the best leaders understand that great leadership requires an innate knowing of when to lead, but also understand when to step back into a follower role. They even have such a great handle on ego that they just step back and let the leaders that emerge do just that. I'm interested in your thoughts on this idea.
